All chronic health conditions affect how our brain functions neurologically. Think of your body like a car: your blood is the oil and the brain is the motor! What happens if you do not change your oil for 5, 10 , 15, even 20 years??? That is right, the motor starts to run sluggishly, breaks down, and even blows up! In medical terms, this is called neurological degeneration! Dementia, Alzheimer's Disease, and Parkinson's Disease are the three conditions that come to mind when I think of neurological degeneration, and my goal is prevent that from happening on all of our patients.
